“I was getting my dinner together to take to the couch and I was able to carry my food while not using my cane and I didn’t have any issues! When I was done I was able to stand back up and walk to the kitchen without any issues again. I’m able to use my cane less to get around my house.”
I am able to . . .
1. Cook Supper
2. Go out to eat
3. Go to the beauty shop
4. Do laundry
5. Put my socks and shoes on the left side
6. Stay sitting up to watch a whole movie
“After the accident, we both experienced back pain, leg pain and shoulder pain. We are halfway through our therapy, and are on the way being back at out strength prior to the accident. The staff at ProMotion is wonderful and very resourceful when it comes to the treatment and anatomy of the body. I trust them to rehabilitate my son and myself so that we can get back to doing the things we enjoy, like running, playing ball, yard work and lifting weights. I would recommend ProMotion to anyone- family, friends and coworkers because they have up to date equipment to get you “right”! I had a setback on my knee, but they’re working to get me back to where I was prior to the accident.”
T.B. and E.B
On January 9th 2020, I fell 20 feet from a tree stand. My life changed tremendously at that moment. I had compound fractures to my tibia and fibula, broke 2 bones in my back, broken nose, cracked my patella, and cracked my sternum. I was unable to walk, bend over, dress myself, or pretty much anything else. I spent 7 days in ICU and 7 days in rehab. When I left rehab I was at least able to barely get around with a walker. 10 days later I started physical therapy at Lonoke Physical Therapy. Matt and Zan put a plan together to get me back to normal. It worked. Last week I spent 4 days in the hills of Missouri turkey hunting. I was just hoping to simply be well enough to go into the woods. I never expected to be able to walk up and down mountains in such a short time after my accident. I am back to work and pretty much back to 100 percent. I thank God for his healing power and I thank God for Matt, Zan, and the whole staff at Lonoke Physical Therapy. I walked in wanting to get better and they did their part to make sure it happened.
Ms. Kim is getting great results since starting physical therapy. She is now able to get around better, can jog some, her knee doesn’t pop as much when she goes to sit down and she can get up and down easier.
“When I started therapy, I was in an extreme amount of pain. I had difficulty driving my school bus without pain. I was having difficulty with everyday task like dressing, putting on my shoes and walking up my steps. Today I feel like I can take on the world. I have no problem dressing, walking up steps or driving my bus. I have no pain while walking 1 block to my mailbox. I have no pain in my day to day living.”
“I was getting my dinner together to take to the couch and I was able to carry my food while not using my cane and I didn’t have any issues! When I was done I was able to stand back up and walk to the kitchen without any issues again. I’m able to use my cane less to get around my house.”
Since starting physical therapy, I can bend and straighten my leg/knee. I am able to walk at a normal pace & gait, without dragging my injured leg. I’ve only completed 2 days of therapy, but I’ve improved drastically! This has helped to ensure that my transition to work/life balance is easy. My concerns with being able to get back to normal are resolved. I look forward to completing the next 3 weeks of therapy. The staff has been wonderful, efficient, and have nearly personalized a regimen just for my needs, and workouts for when I return to working out. I’m so glad I started therapy here at ProMotion.
I can walk most importantly. I can move around better. My knee has more strength. Putting shoes and pants on is easier now. My overall mobility has progressed with every visit.
When I came in two weeks ago I was in terrible pain. Now I can move my neck, the therapy works. This is the second time I’ve come here and I can do my sweeping and making beds and whatever needs to be done and the people here are good and helpful.
I’m doing really well. Therapy is helping me and I’ve improved since starting therapy. On a scale of 1-10, being able to stand from a seated position, I’m about a 7 now! I’m looking forward to more visits to have time for even more improvements.
When I first came in a week ago I was experiencing back spasms and arthritic type back pain. This week the spasms are gone and my overall pain is much better. The flexibility overall in my body is better so I’m very pleased with the therapy at ProMotion. The staff is very accommodating!
When I first came to therapy I was just barely walking and hurting really bad. Couldn’t even do Walmart without hurting really bad. Now I can raise my arms. Before I could barely do housework or make my bed and I am now functional and able to do things. I have learned how to do exercises for when I do hurt and they make me feel so much better. I’m not limping like I was. Zan has really worked with me and she is my little miracle worker because I am a lot better.
I am now able to walk better, go up stairs, squat and bend my knee 120 degrees.
Before starting therapy, I couldn’t walk without my leg giving out and being in pain. I am now back to doing my normal activities. – R.H.
My pain has gotten a lot less since I came, its almost gone. Can climb steps which I was unable to do when I came in. Bhrea is a lot of fun to work with. B.H.
Two weeks in therapy. Can drive and clean house without pain in neck and arms. Pain free for first time in about 20 years. Feel really relaxed and have a lot more energy. S.B.
I can do just about everything now. I can lift my arm overhead and I have no pain. I used to use my other hand to help pick up my right arm; now I don’t have to do that. M.C.
Thanks to Matt and the team at ProMotion PT, I’ve noticed a significant difference in my daily pain that I’ve had for 15 years! Matt has been so patient and thorough in his work. He has pinpointed my problem areas and with the therapy techniques including dry needling, which practically eliminates my pain to enable me to work an entire day without any additional stretching or normal pain med use! I now have hope that this chronic pain can be manged without medication. Thanks guys! J.G.
Life is better. Living is more fun now. Not pain free yet but everything is moveable now. I can walk for longer periods of time without getting weak. Most days my pain is a 2, where it used to be a 7-10, since I now know exercises to help with the pain. I’m less exhausted mentally without the pain, and now have the desire to do better all the time.
I’m driving, dressing myself, able to use my right arm for multiple things where I couldn’t before.
“I am much stronger with walking, can go up steps without stopping, have more leg strength, mobility and coordination.”
“Since I have been coming to Lonoke Physical Therapy my soreness has improved by the exercises the PT’s have me doing. The green ball stretches the muscles in my left leg that I have issues with. I could barely pedal the bicycle when I started therapy and now I can do 2 miles. When I leave for the day I can walk a lot better.”
“I was in the hospital for 3 months due to a car wreck and broke both of my legs. Since I have been out of the hospital I’m able to walk more than what I could thanks to ProMotion. I was able to go to my aunts apartment and went up 17 steps with no problem. Yes, ProMotion does care for their people. They are easy to talk to and whatever you need they are there to help you get better. Try ProMotion, you will love the outcome!”
I can use my hand now to shampoo my hair and put it in a ponytail! I can use my hand to zip my jeans, put on socks and tie my shoes!!
All the problems with my shoulder worked out fine. Stephen was the best to work with for my problem. I would not go anywhere else. Everyone was the best. All friendly staff. Just great folks!
I could not touch my toes before my physical therapy sessions. TODAY I DID! That might seem like a minor thing, but to me it’s not. Everyone was so awesome here. I’m glad I came. It has made my life so much better. Thank you all.
I came to LPT not being able to bend, squat, etc., because of knee surgery. Today I can officially say, I CAN DO EVERYTHING that I set out to do because of all the help from Lonoke Physical Therapy! I will miss you all. Thank you!!
Since coming to therapy, I can put my shoes on, eat with my right hand, wash my hair, brush my teeth, after four weeks, I can cook again, I can move my arm without pain and it feels wonderful, I can work in my yard, and I can do my exercise without pain. After two weeks my feet are feeling better, I have less tingling, less soreness, and I can sleep at night because of less pain.
Thanks to you all for making this physical therapy experience one that has been worth my time and effort! The pain I was experiencing was keeping me from enjoying life and after the hard work on your part, my life is back on track!
Following a cardiac surgery and subsequent stroke, I had very limited or almost no use of left arm, left hand, left wrist and left leg. I am now able to grasp and lift objects with my left hand and have greatly improved motor functions of my entire left arm, wrist and hand. At the onset of therapy, I required a cane to walk even short distances. I am now able to stay on my feet for extended periods and walk normal distances without use of cane.
When I started physical therapy, I was always in pain with every activity I participated in. I was experiencing numbness along with pain in my legs, hips and lower back. When I came to therapy, I was greeted by a loving, caring and understanding group of therapists. With their dedication to rehabilitating me into good health, I am glad to say that I do not experience these symptoms anymore. Thanks to the staff at Lonoke Physical Therapy, I might be able to participate in my senior year of football. I don’t think that would be possible without this great group of therapists. Now that my therapy is over with, I plan on visiting Lonoke PT and updating them on my current condition. Thanks again to everyone who has made my experience at Lonoke Physical Therapy a great one.
I have came a long way since my surgery. I now can eat, wash my hair, and brush my teeth using my right hand. I can move my arm and do my exercises without pain. It feels wonderful!
Torn rotator cuff – trouble dressing and washing hair were my main issues. Matt was a FANTASTIC therapist. Therapy seemed to go amazingly well. It is nice to be able to lift, stretch and do the “daily maintenance” of getting ready without any pain. Matt also gave me great ideas of things to do at home to continue strengthening my shoulder. Love Lonoke PT! Thanks!
I can walk again!!!! Staying on my feet throughout my 10 hour work day is much easier now. Better mobility for climbing in and out of the 18 wheelers at work and also able to get down on the floor for inspecting under trucks.
Second time around with therapy and it is working great and got the same sweet person that helped me the first time. Everyone is so great here and if someone needs therapy I would tell them about Lonoke. Now I can do more with my left arm than ever before like putting it behind my back and straight up and not hurt too much. I want to thank everyone here for being so nice and helpful to me to get me where I am today. Thank you everyone.
I came in with my lower back, left leg, and left hip hurting and bothering me to the extreme that I couldn’t do anything. Since coming here, I noticed a lot of my pain was fading away. The staff here are very helpful and conscious of your pain to make it easier on you. I am very thankful for all they did to help rid me of a lot of pain. I recommend to anyone that has any pain to come in and try it.
I was having trouble reaching for items to my right side and behind me. So after 3 weeks of therapy, today I had no trouble reaching for items and getting ready and dressed this morning for work. I can also tell that I’m getting stronger in my right arm. I can really feel a difference.
When I came in for therapy, my left heel was tender and I was having trouble walking and putting weight on it. I can now successfully walk my normal 3.2 miles in the morning, and have no problem walking and staying on my feet during the day at my job. Elizabeth did a very good job at keeping me motivated.
When I came in, I was having trouble sitting, standing, sleeping–everything. Six weeks later I am able to do all of the above with little to no pain. I have learned how to properly exercise!
I am so happy with the progress I have achieved with the help of my amazing therapist, Matt, and the staff at ProMotion Physical Therapy. I was a little apprehensive when I first came in after my knee replacement. My knee was painful, swollen, and very stiff. Through my therapy here, I can bend, run, walk, and sleep with no pain. Hallelujah! I am pleased and excited to be able to enjoy the physical activities I did before my knee problems; especially riding ATVs, kayaking, hiking, and playing with my grandsons. Thanks to ProMotion, I can get back to life! Thank you!
Since beginning therapy after my total knee replacement, I have improved in walking without my walker and cane, grocery shopping on my own, and doing my normal housework. I am nearly completely off all pain medicine.
ProMotion Physical Therapy has been an amazing experience for me! I came in to seek treatment for my rotator cuff, which I had recently hurt at football practice. After five weeks of treatment, I could throw better and take contact as well. I could also pick up heavy objects and work overhead once again. My shoulder pain has decreased tremendously and healed better than before. Here at therapy I received great information and learned new things about the body. Every visit was a success because I got better and received a lot of laughing. There’s so much love and care here at therapy and I encourage you to try it for yourself. I count this adventure a success.
Before therapy, the littlest things such as opening a jar or a door would exhaust me. But now, after therapy, I can spend 30 minutes on my treadmill. My hands are much stronger. Therapy has helped me gain my confidence back because I’m now able to achieve my goal of being a dog trainer. My whole body feels better. LPT has been a great experience. The staff has been wonderful in motivating me to become the stronger woman I am now.
About a month ago, I could barely move. After 4 weeks of therapy, I’m now pain free. I have no problems rotating my neck. I really appreciate LPT for helping me and teaching me on how to better myself. My daily tasks are no longer issues, traveling is no longer a pain anymore, and I just overall feel better.
Now that my therapy has come to a bittersweet ending, it’s with great pleasure that I say that I’m now 100% better. I can finally ride the bike, which I enjoy doing, and my walking has greatly improved. The strength in my legs has greatly improved. The strength in my legs has greatly increased, too. I can kick and pick up my legs. I no longer have trouble with my balance, either. When I first started, I had a cane, but now I am completely cane-free. LPT has given me my life back. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff for this amazing opportunity.
My experience with LPT was very successful. When I entered the facility, I had little hope of getting the pain in my back and neck decreased, but after just 2 weeks of physical therapy, my neck was much improved. I had not been able to bend my lower back in months without pain. With the help of LPT and staff I am now able to perform daily tasks with little to no pain. I can now pick up objects and walk and stretch without pain. I can run and bicycle and play with the children I work with. Thank you!
Over the weekend, I was able to ride m y riding lawn mower and 4-wheeler. Before, the vibration would irritate my back but now I can actually ride them with no trouble. I can also tell that my walking has really improved, my leg doesn’t sting or feel numb anymore either, and I’m not limping or using my cane anymore. LPT has done great in helping me.
After my total knee replacement, I had little hope of me having a normal life. LPT has been a huge success in my recovery. Because of them, I now have full rotation of my knee. I have no trouble or pain with anything. I can walk, exercise, cook, and clean–pretty much everything. I’m now able to take my dog on his first walk with me. LPT has brought me so much hope on getting my life back. Now, because of them, I am myself again.
I started therapy due to a total knee replacement on 2/16/2017. I started on a walker for less than a week, managed to lose it and go straight to walking without assistance because of the help from LPT. I’m now walking, gardening, doing yard work, driving, exercising, and shopping, all with no trouble. I can bend, sit, and squat, too. LPT has done a great job in helping me recover, and quicker than I expected.
I have no pain and only minimum weakness in my right hip now. I am able to go up and down stairs without the railing. I can walk 2 to 3 blocks. My range of motion is almost within normal limits. I am able to do most activities of daily life and housework such as laundry.
I have marked improvement with balance and coordination. My strength is also up quite a bit. My stamina is markedly improved. I have very little if any significant discomfort. ProMotion Physical Therapy has great staff with near individual instructions. They give encouragement and I can see daily improvement. I will continue with the exercise program to remain in decent shape. I have suggested your facility to several patients.
When I came to therapy, I was not able to close my hand and make a fist. I could not open my medicine bottles. I could not change the sheets on my beds. I could not take pots off of the stove. Now, I can do all these things. In other words, coming here has made me able to function normally again. Thank all of you very much.
The results I have seen since beginning therapy: I have gained strength and have reduced pain. I can lift myself out of a chair. The simple movement of putting on a jacket is now easier. I can change position in bed, and I am able to sleep on my left side again. I can pull my pants on with no difficulty, using both arms. I can also put on my socks and shoes, which was very difficult with only one hand. I am doing better with carrying things, and I can even open doors without having to put things down first. The constant throbbing has decreased, and the sharp pain with movement has also decreased greatly.
I can do all my housework now: I can clean the house. I can help my husband with cleaning the patio. I can wash my car and do other outside work.
Since I started therapy at ProMotion, climbing steps has become easier. I haven’t had any falls recently. I can now stand up without using my hands. My legs do not hurt as bad when I wash the dishes. I can also stand for longer periods of time before I get tired and need to rest.
I am doing much better than when I started therapy. I was able to put a rubber band in my hair for the first time in a while this morning. I can reach into cabinets to get food and dishes out much easier than before. I can put the sheets on my bed with no pain. The pain in my feet is also much better.
I can dress myself without my shoulder hurting. I can reach for something on a shelf with no pain. I can drive and turn the steering wheel easier and without pain. I can pull the covers over myself when I go to sleep now. In short, I am doing great.
I came in on crutches and I was hardly able to walk unassisted. After only 5 sessions, I was able to walk normally, crouch, kneel, climb ladders, and perform all of my other duties as a manual laborer.
My neck pain has improved. I am now able to look over my shoulder while driving. I also have less stiffness and tightness while sleeping, and there is also less popping and cracking in my neck. My back pain has also been reduced. The tightness and stiffness is also much better. The pain is not as constant. The crushing pain while trying to sleep has been greatly reduced. Overall, my neck and back pain have improved greatly. I am now much more flexible and I have seen an overall increase in range of motion. My body feels much better, and my attitude towards my body has improved. I am considerably better.
After having surgery for compression on my spinal cord at C3 and C4, I was having extreme difficulty with the mobility in my neck. Even the what would normally be the simplest of tasks was difficult, especially driving. After 15 therapy sessions at ProMotion, I have experienced an incredible improvement in the mobility of my neck. This has made things like driving and communicating with people easier because I can rotate my neck. Thanks to all the staff at ProMotion for all they have done.
After hurting my hips, I was in severe pain as soon as I got up in the morning. Sometimes I could not walk because of the pain. I went to work in pain almost every day. My job requires standing and walking on concrete floors, so the pain just seemed to get worse. After 6 weeks of therapy on my back and hips, I am now able to push, pull, lift, and get in and out of bed with no pain. Also, I am able to do what I love best- to fish- without any problems. Thanks to everyone at ProMotion Physical Therapy.
When I came to ProMotion, I could not stand, sit, or walk for more than 10 minutes. Now, I can stand, sit, walk, bend down, and even lift some things. I was not able to do any of this 6 weeks ago. Thanks to all the staff for all the support and attention in all the right places. I feel better today than I have in over a year and a half.
When I first came in, the pain was severe on the right side of my spine. I could not ride my lawn mower. I could not tie my shoes. I could not reach for anything. I had to have someone help me do almost everything. Now, the last 2 times I rode my lawn mower, I had no pain whatsoever. I have no pain tying my shoes. I have no sharp pain in my spine or my back, and even the sore spots are gone as of today.
I came in about a month ago with some extensive back pain (and my left hip). I was to the point where I was losing sleep at night and couldn’t even ride in a vehicle for more than 10 minutes. I was drastically reduced in my physical state. Coming to LPT was an iffy choice because it would be my third time in physical therapy for my back and hip issues. Upon my arrival, I was instantly greeted with professionalism and kindness. After the first week, and truthfully the first day, I began to improve a lot. Matt was able to get my SI joint back in place on day one. Then, I was blessed by Zan’s strength training for 3 weeks. This has ultimately led to this point of 100% recovery and satisfaction. Thanks again for making me feel 22 again!
I feel 100% better since I started coming here. There are some things I could not do before that I can now: I can hold onto things better. I can turn my neck easier. I am getting around better than before, too. I am not having as much pain as before. I can’t complain. L.B.
When I came here, I couldn’t even raise my arms. Now I can turn my neck easier and with no pain. I can do everything I could before, and really I feel 10 years younger! H.G.
L.B. & H.G.
Feb. 1st. I fractured my femur and radial head. Mid-March I started PT at ProMotion. I have improved so much! When I started I could barely walk and my arm was extremely weak. Through the sessions here I’ve regained almost all the strength in my arm and I’m walking without a limp, plus no pain! The crew here is very professional . . . they know their business, but are all very personable and fun. Thanks everyone for making me whole again.
I came into therapy with vertigo and dizziness. I was having trouble looking up, sitting, getting up quickly, bending down to pick something up, or turning my head too quickly. Brody made therapy comfortable and enjoyable. Now, after therapy, I can do all the things I could not do before, but with no dizziness.
I came to therapy for frequent falls, being unsteady, and having balance issues. These things prevented me from being able to go out and do every day things without being scared of hurting myself. I worked with Matt L and Brody. Physical therapy has been both enjoyable and successful. I am more stable. I feel like I can get out and do more things now. I can go shopping now, and I was recently able to go on vacation.
Since beginning therapy, my mobility is much better. I am able to get into and out of the car much easier. I am able to get in and out of the shower. I am able to dress myself. I can sit down and get back out of a chair with no assistance. I have overall improved body strength. Also, I have an improved mindset since completing therapy.
I am able to turn my head while driving. Before coming to therapy, it had been several weeks since I had been able to do that. I have one happy 3 year old that is able to get in my lap and I can hold her now. I can sit at my desk and work at my computer without hurting. I am finally able to look up and down without bad pain.
This was my first experience with physical therapy. I came to therapy with pain in my shoulder and neck. I was not able to sleep through the night because the pain would wake me up. Brody was my physical therapist. He was pleasant and attentive at all of my sessions, and the whole staff was upbeat and friendly. I learned about the importance of warming up and stretching before exercise or activity. I have also been educated about the extreme need for good posture. Working on posture reduced my pain.
Sciatic nerve pain brought me to physical therapy. My condition prevented me from standing for very long. I also had problems sweeping and climbing stairs. The biggest effect of my condition was on my every day life. I was in pain most of the time. Working with Brody was a great experience for me. I plan to continue doing my exercises. The biggest change since starting therapy is that I am no longer in pain. If I do have some pain, I know what to do to alleviate it. I am overjoyed that I am not in pain, like I was when I started physical therapy.
I came to physical therapy with lower back pain. I had trouble doing every day activities like doing laundry or picking up my kids. I had a hard time driving to activities. Some days I couldn’t do anything but lay in bed. Elizabeth has been my physical therapist, and she’s been great. She’s listened every step of the way–adjusting treatment and encouraging me to keep going. Together we reached our goal of no pain! Since starting therapy, the biggest and most positive change is that I have no pain and no limits.
In early October I had a total hip arthroplasty on my right hip. When I started physical therapy the next week, I came in using a walker for mobility. After about 2 weeks of therapy, I no longer needed the walker and went to using a cane. About another week later, I was walking without the cane. I can now walk up short flights of stairs without assistance. I feel like I am ready to do before with minimal pain or assistance. I can do things in the house and the yard with little to no problem.
When I first came into therapy, I had pain in my hamstring as well as difficulty walking and standing. At times, the pain was severe and impairing my daily life. We did exercises with hamstring stretching techniques as well as a traction machine workout. I can now notice a considerable amount of more movement without pain and discomfort. I am so amazed at the difference within such a short amount of time. I can’t thank Fiona and Matt enough for their training and guidance throughout!
I came to physical therapy with pain in my hip that continued down to the knee and ankle on my left side. I also had IT band tightness. It prevented me from leaning, mopping, working in my garden, and standing on one foot. Sometimes, I had tightness and cramping throughout my whole left leg. Brody was my physical therapist. Coming in every day to treatment has been a delight. I feel like everyone is part of my own family cheering me on to get better. Brody was always cheerful and fun to be around, and everyone else was as well. My stamina and flexibility have increased significantly. The need for daily work on my IT band has proved that I need to work on it every day, and I have learned how to work on this problem at home.
Before I came to Lonoke Physical Therapy, I had a hard time moving my ankle. During my basketball season, I had a hard time dunking and landing. My ankle was always sore and aching. I noticed improvement after the first session. Every time I came through the door I was greeted with a smile and “How are you feeling?” The activities worked very well and I haven’t had any pain in my ankle. Now I’m back to dunking on people with no pain at all. Thank you Lonoke Physical Therapy!
I came to therapy because I hurt my left ankle in basketball. It kept me from running, jumping, standing, and walking for long periods of time. I was not able to play basketball or practice. My physical therapist was Brody. Therapy has been extremely helpful. I have been able to play again and it feels much better. The tenderness in my ankle is now gone. I’m able to run, jump, walk for as long as I want, and stand. I’ve gained most of my strength back.
I broke my leg and had to have surgery. Home physical therapy helped, but coming here has brought me back almost to normal. I have been able to return to my catering, lose the walker and use a cane, walk inside the house without a cane, do my own laundry, change my bed. I can drive anywhere I need to, take a shower by myself–I am self-sufficient. Thank you all so much for helping me be able to walk and return to normal activities. The staff at LPT are all very polite, courteous, and always there to aid in anything I needed. Thanks again for all your help.
I came to therapy after I had my right knee replacement. I had pain while working, walking, hunting, fishing, and driving. I also had pain in my lower back and left knee due to compensation for the right knee. Matt has been my physical therapist. It’s been hard but a great experience because the people here want to help and encourage you. They are very knowledgeable and caring. I have no pain in any of my joints and I believe I can carry on a normal life free of pain. I am looking forward to fishing and hunting.
I came to therapy after a knee replacement. I was unable to walk without a walker, I needed help getting places, and I could not lift my left leg. I also needed help with my every day activities. Brody was my therapist. Every day was a little better, some better than others. Now I am independent. Brody, Matt, and the rest of the staff were always positive! The biggest and most positive changes for me have been increased core strength, being able to walk, and being independent so that I can take care of myself.
These are the things that I couldn’t do at the start of therapy, but I can do now:
–sleeping on my right side without my arm going numb.
–vacuuming without having pain or having to take breaks.
–working in my garden without pain.
–picking up the baby with my right arm.
I came to therapy after fracturing my left wrist. It slowed me down quite a bit. After the cast, I could not bathe or dress myself. I could not cook or make meals. I could not do any housework other than laundry. At therapy, I worked with Matt L and Fiona. It has been a wonderful and pleasant experience. I have regained many of my abilities with my left hand. I can do pretty much anything I want.
Before being coached by the staff at Lonoke Physical Therapy, the shoulder injury completely removed my right arm from use. Six months of rehab and now I have full use again. Being a hobby mechanic and a serious gardener, use of all body parts is important for success. Without the expertise and skill of the therapists here, recovery would not be possible.
Immediately following my surgery, I was totally dependent on others for all care and activities. I gradually regained my strength and increased my range of motion. I was able to shower unassisted, shampoo and style hair, brush my teeth, and dress myself. Within weeks I could do household chores like sweeping, mopping, doing laundry, and making beds. I am able to reach overhead, reach behind my back, and reach out in front of me. I am able to push or pull items that are weighted or have resistance. I am able to sleep without inclination or pain. I am also able to drive my vehicle.
Last week I went grocery shopping for the first time in two years!!!! Before therapy, my husband had to help get me dressed and now I can do it by myself
When I came in my left leg was numb to the touch and hurt all the time. I couldn’t walk or stand without being bent over. Since I started PT the numbness is gone and I can stand up straight and walk without issues. PT has truly helped.
I have started running some again. I’m able to clean my horse stalls without neck and shoulder pain. I’m able to do day to day cleaning and activities without instant pain and cramping in my right arm.
Before therapy I was unable o lift, walk, bend or clean without pain. Now I am able to drive, sweep, make the bed and use the blower to clean garage pain free!
I can use my hand now to shampoo my hair and put in a ponytail! I can use my hand to zip my jeans, put on socks and tie my shoes!!
