Mandy’s Chocolate Cobbler

Batter layer:
2 sticks butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup milk
Chocolate layer:
1 cup of sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa powder
2 cups boiling water
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place 2 sticks of butter in a 9×13 pan. Melt in oven for 5 minutes. Combine batter ingredients and pour over butter. Do not stir. Sprinkle sugar and cocoa powder over batter. Do not stir. Pour boiling water over top. Do not stir. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.
