Mrs. Adams’s Strawberry Cobbler
1 stick of butter
1 egg lightly beaten
1 cup of milk
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of All Purpose Flour
2-teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 quarts chopped strawberries
4 oz cream cheese, cut in chunks
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt butter and pour into 9 x 13 glass baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix egg, milk, sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Pour directly over butter in baking dish. Do NOT stir.
Pour strawberries over mixture. Do NOT stir.
Place cream cheese chunks over berries.
Bake 50 minutes or until golden.
