Mrs. Judy’s Green Beans Almondine
6 cans French style green beans
6 tablespoons white vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
1 pound of bacon
1 package of thinly sliced almonds
In a large pan, combine 3 cans drained green beans and 3 cans undrained green beans. Add finely chopped onion, vinegar, salt, and pepper to taste. Simmer green beans until no liquid remains and green beans are tender.
Pour into a 9×12 baking dish. Set overnight in refrigerator.
The next day, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook bacon until crisp. Sprinkle crumbled bacon and almond slivers on top of the green beans. Bake until warmed through, about 30-45 minutes.
