Theresa’s Sausage Roll

2 loaves frozen bread
2 packages pork sausage (1 mild, 1 hot)
1 small white onion (finely chopped)
2 small bell pepper (finely chopped)
1 tbs butter
2 tbs oregano
2 tbs sage
2 tbs garlic powder
2, 8 oz packages of shredded cheese (1 mozzarella, 1 cheddar)

Allow bread to thaw and rise overnight. I usually place them in a large cookie sheet and cover with dishtowels – the tops of the loaves will probably “pop” open during the night.
Sauté onions and peppers in the butter until almost done. Add sausage to pan, cook. Add spices toward the end of cooking time. When finished, drain sausage mixture very well, squeezing out as much grease as (you) can. Roll each bread out flat (will cook two loaves). Spoon sausage mixture evenly over both flat breads, Roll each flat bread up like crescent rolls. Bake each loaf separately. Place loaf on a cookie sheet (might want wax paper under as it will be kind of greasy) seam down. Bake at 350 degrees until bread is brown.
