Thomas’s Beef Jerky

1 beef flank steak, 1 1/2 to 2 lbs.
2/3 cup soy sauce
2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup honey
3 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tp. liquid smoke
Trim fat from beef. Freeze in a covered container for 30 minutes. Slice steak into 1/2 inch pieces and place in a large resealable bag. In a small bowl, whisk remaining ingredients and add to beef. Seal bag to marinate. Refrigerate for 3 to 8 hours turning occasionally. Preheat oven to 170 degrees. Transfer beef and marinade to a large saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove beef from pan with tongs and drain on paper towel. Arrange beef sticks on wire racks in a large baking pan. Dry in oven for 4 to 5 hours.
